It's that time again when Daylight Savings Time ends and we turn our clocks back an hour. Sunday morning at 2 a.m. goes back to 1 a.m. Sunday morning which means we get an extra hour of sleep this weekend. That's the good news. The bad news? We lose an hour of daylight at the end of the day. So now instead of the sun setting at six as it has been this week, it will start setting at 5, and the days will continue to get shorter until the first day of winter. So, this Saturday night, I will go through every room in the house setting all the clocks back an hour.

I don't know about you, but I wish they would stop moving the clocks. Let's just set it for Daylight Savings Time and forget it. So it'll be a little bit darker in the morning, big deal. I would rather have that when I'm already at work, then losing an hour of daylight after work. Of course, I would miss the extra hour of sleep once a year, but I would not miss it when we lose an hour of sleep in the spring.

What are your thoughts?

Oh, and don't forget, "Change the clocks, change your batteries". Every time you change the clocks, it's a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. It could save your life.
