So Daylight Savings time arrived this Sunday morning at 2am. We set our clocks ahead before we went to bed. And, if you are like me, you slept in on Sunday to make up for that hour. Last night, while leaving a bar in Endicott after grabbing a burger and a brew for dinner, I noticed there was still daylight at 7pm. That’s the only good thing that comes from Daylight Savings Time. But come on, do we still need to do this? I mean, can’t we just leave the clocks in Daylight Savings mode? I know it will be darker in the morning, but in the middle of winter, it wouldn’t be getting dark at 4pm either. I like when we set the clocks back in the fall because I’m all about getting an extra hour of sleep, but I don’t see why we can’t just leave the clocks alone. I know I’ve been dragging ass all day today and I read a story today that said most people are tired as their bodies get used to the time change. If you are tired you are less productive at work and can be short tempered with co-workers, all because of the time change. I think if we are going to keep changing the clocks for Daylight Savings Time, they might as well give us the following Monday off because there’s not much work being done today.

Now excuse me while I go take a nap.
