This week I wanted to flashback to those memorable Saturdays when kids would gather in front of the television for their weekly fix.

During the era of Saturday morning cartoons and long before special networks, and video  playback machines, cartoons and kid shows were not on exclusive networks.

I recently did a version of Generation Gap Trivia with one of our station interns, and one of the questions was name the kids show that featured Bingo the toothy gorilla, Drooper the swingin' lion, Snork the woolly elephant,  Fleegle the floppy beagle.

One of the short lived series that ran from 1968 to 1970 was a show featuring four fictional funny animal characters that played instruments, sang, and traveled in their vehicle called 'The Banana Buggy'.

My Throwback Thursday memory this week is Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper, and Snorky. Also known as The Banana Splits!
