Classic Rock Throwback Thursday – Only Time Will Tell

I was just talking about this song on The Whale recently, as it aired during our Shuffle Thursday. In case you are not familiar with Shuffle Thursday, every week on that day, we put the Whale studio computer in shuffle mode and it selects songs from our entire Classic Rock library.

Back to the subject of this wonderful article, shortly after I landed in Binghamton and became a disc jockey (we did play records back then) on The Whale, the supergroup Asia was formed. The original band consisted of Carl Palmer, John Wetton, Geoff Downes and Steve Howe.

Their first album was simply titled 'Asia' and contained the hit songs Only Time WIll Tell and Heat Of The Moment. The album soared to the number one spot on the US album chart. Heat Of The Moment got to the number one position on the US single chart and Only Time Will Tell peaked at number 8 on the US rock chart.
