We're counting down the songs you can’t get enough of from number 500 to number 1. Led Zeppelin, Bon Jovi, Tom Petty, they’ll all be in there, plus newcomers to the countdown like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and Foo Fighters and many more.

Classic Rock was made for summer and there’s no better way to kick it off than with the Memorial Day 500. The times you will hear the Classic Rock 500 countdown is as follows:

  • Friday May 26th - 4 pm to Midnight
  • Saturday May 27th - 10 am to Midnight
  • Sunday May 28th - Noon to Midnight
  • Monday May 29th - 10 am to 7 pm

What song will be the number one tune this year? Well, we will find out, but either way, these are 500 heavyweights of Rock-n-Roll so as far as we are concerned, they all are number one!

Take The Whale wherever you go this weekend so you don't miss out on this awesome Classic Rock 500.You can hear us on your radio at 99.1 FM, on the 99.1 The Whale App, streaming on our website at 991thewhale.com and on your smart speaker - Google HomeAmazon Alexa and Apple Car Play.
