The series originally ran from 1965 to 1969 on Saturday mornings, and was the first weekly television series to feature animated versions of real living people.

Each cartoon had a story based on its lyrics, the song was also played at some time in the episode. Ironically the cartoon versions of the Fab Four did not use their voices.

Paul Frees did the voices of John and Paul, while Lance Percival provided the voices for Ringo and George.

I remember watching these cartoons when I was a kid, and it brings back many memories of those days watching them now.

With the recent death of legendary producer Sir George Martin, I wanted to highlighted some of the great songs he produced.

Enjoy my Throwback Thursday memory, the Beatles Cartoon Series.
