Looking for things to do in our community? Here’s what's going on around the Greater Binghamton area over the next week.

This weekend over 30,000 people will travel to the village of Owego to attend the annual Strawberry Festival this Friday and Saturday.

The Kopernik Observatory & Science Center (KOSC) will hold its 8th annual model rocket festival this Saturday June 11th at KOSC's facility in Vestal NY, RocketFest 2016 will feature large displays by experts in rocketry and space exploration.

The Broome County Humane Society will hold Woof-Stock this Saturday 1p-10p at En-Joie Pavillion in Endicott.

The Second Annual D.W. Smith Jr. Memorial Remembrance Run / Walk will be held May 22, 2016 at 9:00AM

The Pink Elk 5K Run/Walk is Sunday May 15th at 9am from the Vestal Elks Lodge 2071 Vestal Parkway West, Vestal, proceeds will go to Traci's Hope and Vestal Elks Club Veteran Committee.

The annual 5K Color Run takes place Saturday May 7th at SUNY Broome Community College on Front Street in Binghamton, with waves starting at 9am

The “Walk/Run for Wishes,” 5K run and walk to benefit Make-A-Wish Central New York is Saturday, April 30th on the Binghamton University campus. Registration for the family-friendly event is $15 per person and begins at 12:45 p.m.; the walk/run begins promptly at 1:30 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.

The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park Officially opens for the season this weekend with events both Saturday and Sunday.

The 5th Annual "Run For Your Heart Coal House 5K" will take place this Sunday, April 17th, 1:00pm at the Vestal Coal House. Proceeds benefit the American Heart Association.
