  • Join the Hungry Ear monthly library program as they share two short stories about

  • Military pen pals wanted.  6th grade students have letters ready to send out.  Pen pals must have an APO or FPO address to correspond with.  If you know a soldier who is currently stationed overseas please EMAIL Cindy Covey at ccovey@aftoncsd.org

  • The Beth David Synagogue at 39 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, will be holding a rummage sale June 26th from noon to 4pm, and  June 27th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. June 28th,  will be a $3.00 bag sale from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
  • Urban Star vintage boutique is accepting donations of new or gently used clothing, glassware, dinnerware, cookware, electronics and toys.  Drop off your donations at the Broome County Urban League on 43-45 Carroll Street or Urban Star Vintage Boutique on 75 Court Street Monday- Friday 9AM-5PM.  For questions please call 607-821-4810.
  • The American Red Cross is offering Babysitter training on June 25th from 9am until 4pm.  The class is for youth ages 11 to 15 and will be held at the Red Cross office at 620 E. Main Street, Endicott.  Cost of the class is $85.  Space is limited and advanced registration is limited.  Call 1-800-733-2767 to register.
  • The Chenango Valley School District now has openings for their Pre-Kindergarten program.  If you are a Chenango Valley Resident and your child will be 4 by December 1st, please call 762-6975 to receive an application.
  • Fall enrollment is now open for Broome County’s four Catholic Schools. Families interested in enrolling their children in grades PreK-12 can receive an application and information by contacting Richard Bucci at 723-1547.
  • The Thompson United Methodist Church is hosting a Roast Beef Supper on Saturday June 25th on 586 Main Street, Thompson PA.  Doors open at 4:30 for take outs and 5 for eat-ins.  $11 for adults and $5.50 for children 6-12.  All are welcome.
  • The City of Binghamton and the Department of Public Art is holding a one thousand dollar mural design contest for the Chenango River Trail at Cheri Lindsey Park. For more information and to upload your design, go to r e b o l d Binghamton dot com. Deadline for submission is July 5th.
