Snowfall

There have been years around this time that summer, and even spring felt like it would never arrive.

How early and how late in the season has Binghamton been hit with what we might call, surprise snow?

We have gone through 48 days of winter so far. That's just over halfway to spring.

In a perfect world, Christmas Day should be sunny and snow-covered.

I thought it might be time to check in again with Golden Snowball and see where we fall for the 2020-2021 snow season.

Binghamton was won the award four times, most recently for the 2016-2017 season.

A few days ago when I first heard word that we may be getting a snow event, I kind of shrugged it off.

This could be our first significant snowfall, so I just want to vent in advance.

It's interesting to note from NOAA that between 1951 and 2014, the Christmas in Binghamton with the most snow was 14 inches in 1969.

At least once in recent memory, Binghamton took home the honor of the most snowfall in a season.
