Written by the hall of fame songwriting team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, it was a 'B' side single for the Coasters in 1957 where it reached #8 on the US charts.

The song was covered by several major artists including the late Leon Russell, The Beatles, Carl Wilson of the Beach Boys, and the Concert for Bangladesh in 1971.

In 1976 Bad Company included it on their album 'Run With The Pack' they released it as a single where it made the top 20.
