Doug’s Got Ya Covered Video of the Week

Written and recorded by Steve Winwood for the title cut of his 1986 solo LP, it hit the number one position for three weeks, the song featured James Taylor on backing vocals.

The song won Record of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance – Male, the album produced two number one’s and another two other top twenty singles.

In 2000 the late Warren Zevon did a cover of the song for his ‘Life’ll Kill Ya’ and was included on two compilation albums after his death (2003)  in 2006 and 2007.
