The latest from the Van Halen camp has been harsh to say the least, with Eddie's public comments bashing former founding bass player, Michael Anthony.

Sammy Hagar has come to Mike's defense with a few comments of his own, and needless to say there is no love loss between this group.

Thirty years ago, David Lee Roth left the band and the group replaced him with veteran rocker Sammy Hagar. Since then there have been a multitude of feuds between band members resulting in exits and re-enterings.

I would like to go on the record and say that this is childish and stupid. Especially the latest comments from Eddie saying, "My son is a better bass player then Michael Anthony and I had to teach Mike how to play the parts".

Do you think the fans care about that? Over the past few years we have all witnessed temper tantrums from groups who have been loved and worshiped by their fans the whole world over, and where would any of these guys be without the fans?

Case in point, the biggest FU to the fans came last year when Kiss was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Here stood four guys who were idolized by millions. All four were healthy and very capable of grabbing their instruments to play a few songs for the fans who gave them fame, power and boatloads of money. They declined though and let other artists play their songs on stage while they sat and watched.

I am extremely disappointed with the way some of these rock legends act. The latest is even directed at a man I have idolize since I first heard Eruption in 1978.

Eddie would probably say that I don't understand, but the fans could say the exact same thing to him.
