Cortland Man Accused of Drunk Driving an UTV

A Cortland man is charged with felony drunk driving and aggravated unlicensed operation after crashing a Utility Terrain Vehicle in the area of Parks Road and Town Line Road in the Town of Homer New Year’s Eve.

Sheriff’s officials say 61-year-old Edward Moore Junior was not hurt in the 9:30 p.m. rollover crash.

Authorities say they found Moore still with the UTV when they arrived on the scene and he was found to be intoxicated.

In addition to the two felony counts, the Cortland man is charged with consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, driving without insurance, unregistered vehicle, driving without a license, speed not prudent and refusing to take a breath test.

He was released following his arraignment and ordered to appear in Homer Court later this month.
