Bon Jovi – Classic Rock Pick of the Week

Ready to board the Whale Time Machine? OK, let's travel back to October 25th, 1986.

I was in my 4th year working for The Whale in 1986. A lot of great music came out that year, including Bon Jovi's album 'Slippery When Wet.' That was their third studio album.

Back in their early days, the boys in the band came to Binghamton and we were fortunate to have them in the studio for interviews.

In 1986, the album topped the US album charts, eventually selling many millions of LPs. There are some great tunes on that album, including Never Say Goodbye, I'd Die for You, Let It Rock, and two songs that reached number one on the US singles chart - Livin' On A Prayer and You Give Love A Bad Name.

For this week's Classic Rock Pick, let's look in on Bon Jovi performing that number one hit, Livin' On A Prayer at the MTV Awards Show in 1987.
