Coming off a 6-3 loss to the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins on Saturday night, the Binghamton Devils rallied late last night to send the game into overtime, but lost 4-3 to the Hershey Bears.

The Bears scored first on a goal from Kody Clark, and held the lead going into the second period and added to their lead, after a Devils turn over resulting on a goal by Brett Leason to put the Bears up 2-0.

The Devils would score on a power play goal by Danick Martel, on a pass from Reilly Walsh to make it 2-1 Hershey, going into the second intermission.

The Binghamton Devils would tie the game early in period three, as Ben Street scored his fourth goal of the season, knotting the score at two apiece.

Hershey took a 3-2 lead  at 12:14 of the third period, on a Garrett Pilon wrist shot into the net.

The Devils were on a power play, with very little time remaining, and with an empty net Marian Studenic fired a shot off a loose puck and tied the game with a half minute to goal in regulation, putting the Devils in another overtime situation.

Hershey’s Martin Fehervary scored the winning goal in overtime and secured a 4-3 victory for the Hershey Bears.

The Devils fall to the bottom of the AHL North Division.

The Binghamton Devils will host the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Wednesday at the RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House with a 7pm faceoff.
