A tractor trailer hit a concrete bridge divider on Interstate 81 South at 17 west at exit 5 at around 4:12 a.m. November 15.  The crash that blocked part of a ramp until it could be towed out of the way, was not believed to be weather-related. The driver was not injured.

New York State Police said there was a little bit of snow in the Whitney Point area early in the morning and Chenango County reported a coating at the higher elevations but little in Norwich-proper. Some rural areas of northern Pennsylvania were also reporting a little accumulation.

There could be more scattered snow showers for the late afternoon and into the evening, but little or no accumulation is expected.  There could still be slippery spots at higher elevations and on colder road surfaces on bridges and ramps.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service in Binghamton was projecting high temperatures well above the norm later in the week.  The forecast high for November 17 was put in the mid-50s.
