The 49th annual Johnson City Field Days is this Friday through Monday,
at Northside Park on Harry L. Drive.

Field Days on Friday runs from 6 to 11. It opens at 12 and closes at 11 on Saturday, Sunday and Monday’s fireworks begin at 9:30.
Admission is free. All weekend rides are just $2.00 each, or buy 10 rides for $15.00.

Bring the kids on Saturday from 1 to 4 to get 4 rides for $5.00! However, these tickets must be used during this time frame.
Parents can visit the Broome County Sheriff Department’s table from 12 to 5 on Saturday and Sunday to enroll your children in the Safe Child ID Program. There is no cost for this program.

The Broome County Fire Fighter’s Association’s Fire Safety Trailer will be at Field Days on Saturday from 12 to 4. There is no cost for children to tour this trailer. Proceeds from this celebration benefit the many local non-profit organizations that participate in Field Days.

Here’s a list of community events over the next week

  • The annual lick breast cancer music fest will be held on Saturday September 10th from Noon to 11pm at the Pines Pavilion Event Center in Endicott. Several local bands and other activities for all ages. $5 donation at the door ,children 12 & under free. Proceeds to benefit Traci’s Hope.
  • The Nanticoke United Methodist Church will hold a chicken BBQ on Saturday September 10th from Noon to 4p on the church grounds behind the Nanicoke Fire Station, dinners $9 kids under 12 $5, take out is available.
  • The Broome County Public Library will host a three week yoga class  starting September 13th at 6:30pm, taught by Rick Gridley, space is limited call 607 778 6451 to register.
  • The Family Enrichment network will hold their 'Chip In for Fen' Golf Classic, Friday September 16th at Traditions at the Glen, registration at 11:30a, Shotgun start at 1pm,more info call 723 8313.
