Up to 110 Years in Prison for Delaware Co. Child Pornographer
A Delaware County man faces up to 110 years in prison after admitting he used a child to engage in sexually explicit conduct to produce child pornography.
Officials with the U.S. Justice Department, Northern District say 42-year-old Jeremie Hoyt of Davenport pleaded guilty April 20 before Senior United States District Judge Thomas McAvoy to two counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Federal Prosecutors say Hoyt remains in custody pending sentencing on August 24 to at least 15 years and up to 110 years in Federal Prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Hoyt will also have a term of supervised release of between five years to life and be required to register as a sex offender.
As part of his plea, Hoyt admitted he produced visual depictions of a child engaged in sexually explicit conduct and produced an explicit photo of the child in August of 2019 and a video of the same child in November of 2020 that he distributed over the internet. He still had child pornography in his possession when his home was searched last April.
