The NFL Network is reporting that the New York Giants have fired head coach Ben McAdoo and longtime general manager Jerry Reese. The NFL Network is also stating that sources close to the team have said that assistant general manager Kevin Abrams will take over the reins as interem GM for the rest of the season.

It's no surprise that they were both let go, but most people thought the ax would fall after the season was over. The Giants have fallen to 2 and 10 on the season including their 24 17 loss yesterday in Oakland. Ben McAdoo said in his press conference after yesterday's game that he would be coaching the team as long as his key fob continued to work. His fob was officially shut off today.  Defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, who has head coaching experience, will take over as head coach for now.

The Giants will host the Cowboys this Sunday at 1. You can hear the game live here on 99 one the whale with the pre-game starting at noon.
