July 13th, 1985, the Live Aid benefit concert was in full swing at John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia. Actually it was a duel effort, with a similar concert happening that day at Wembley Stadium in London England.

The Philly version included Black Sabbath, REO Speedwagon, Bryan Adams, Crosby, Stills & Nash,The Pretenders, Santana, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, The Cars, Phil Collins and Led Zeppelin to name a few.

In London, Elvis Costello, Sting, Queen, The Dire Straits, The WHo, U2, David Bowie, Paul McCartney and ELton John among others. The London version gathered about 70,000 attendees and the U.S. version gathered around 100,00 people to the concert.
