Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Plans are in place for this year’s Saint Patrick’s celebration in Binghamton March 5 as law enforcement gear up for another holiday drunk driving crackdown.

Parts of Court and State Streets in the City of Binghamton will be shut down for the parade.

Festivities begin with a Parade Day Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church with the parade beginning at 1:30 p.m. from Court and Fayette Streets to the intersection of Main and Arthur Streets.

A number of pre and post-parade parties are also being held.

Meanwhile extra stop DWI patrols are being set up throughout the region that will not only run this weekend for the parade, but will also be in place for actual Saint Patrick’s Day celebrations.
