One of the most haunting rock songs, in my opinion, is Silent Lucidity by Queensryche.

It's one of those songs that you want to hit repeat and listen to all over again. The song came out in 1991, off the 1990 album 'Empire.' It was the biggest hit for Queensryche, topping out at number nine of the US singles chart, and it reached the number one spot on the mainstream rock charts.

It's not a common thing to have an orchestration as part of a rock song, and be able to pull it off, but Queensryche did, and the result was a success. Now for the band members, as years progressed, things did not go well, and the band splintered, including the departure of Geoff Tate in 2012.

Let's throwback to 2001 when Queensryche was in Seattle, Washington for a concert, and look in as they dream on in Silent Lucidity.
