The Hometown rivalry  will continue on Sunday, when the New York Giants host the New York Jets, live coverage begins at 12 Noon on 991 The Whale.

Some may call it bragging rights, but both teams need this game if they hope to make the postseason.

I know there will be some pushing and shoving with a few flags for the follies.

Both teams have some injuries, but it's December and what team doesn't.

The Giants have one advantage, Jets CB Darrelle Revis is out, and the Giants hope to get some big plays to Odell Beckham Jr.

The Giants hope to get Justin Pugh and Weston Richburg back on the offensive line, but the Jets defense is good, so and the Giants offense will have to play a near perfect game.

Big Blues defense is going to need a good game to stop Ryan Fitzpatrick, who threw four touchdowns passes last week, and the Jets offense.

They have met 12 times in regular season, the Giants are 8-4 overall and the last time the Jets beat the Giants in a regular season was on October 31, 1993, yes Halloween and as a Giants fan that haunts me.

Giants and Jets, catch all the action Sunday  at 12 Noon, and keep it here after the game for coach Coughlin’s press conference and team interviews on your station for NY Giants Football, 99.1 The Whale.

Go Giants!
