Mysterious Crash near Windsor Investigated

Authorities in Broome County are investigating a mysterious rollover crash with no driver anywhere to be found.

Sheriff’s officials were called to Route 17 (Interstate 86) between West Windsor and Windsor shortly before 3 a.m. July 1 and found a vehicle blocking both eastbound lanes, the airbag deployed but no driver around.

Authorities did not immediately find any indication that someone was injured or if another vehicle happened on the scene and gave the driver a lift.

The lanes of the highway were blocked for over a half hour as the investigation was launched and a tow truck brought in to remove the sedan.
