Roger Earl, the drummer and a founding member of Foghat, called in to the Freezone on Monday. Foghat will be playing with George Thorogood and Molly Hatchet at Tags in Big Flats on Friday night June 2nd.

Foghat has been around since 1970. During the 70’s they had such hits as Slow Ride, Fool For The City, I Just Want To Make Love To You, My Babe, Third Time Lucky and more. In the late 80’s and early 90’s there were tours by Roger Earl’s Foghat and Lonesome Dave’s Foghat. If I remember correctly they both played the Strike Zone on Upper Court St. in Binghamton the same year.

Dave Peverett and Roger (who started Foghat) put the band back together in the 90’s and toured again. Dave died in 2000.

I asked Roger about the upcoming tour and what we can look forward to hearing next Friday at Tags , and I asked him about the Foghat brand wines.

I’ll have tickets to give away to that show starting Friday and going through next week.

Here is my interview in its entirety.
