Mother’s Day is being celebrated a little early at local senior centers.

Reservations are being accepted now for Mother’s Day luncheons and celebrations at Broome County Senior Centers that will feature a lunch of salmon patty with dill sauce or basil chicken breast, side dishes and banana cake along with special themed activities.

Lunches and entertainment are scheduled to begin around 11:30 a.m. Friday at all but the Deposit center, which holds its luncheon Thursday.  The suggested contribution for lunch is 4-25 for those ages 60 and over and their spouse of any age and a charge of 5-25 for those under the age of 60 and the events are open to everyone.  Those age 60 and over and their spouse will not be denied service due to an inability or unwillingness to contribute.

Reservations should be made by noon May 9 by calling the Senior Center they plan to visit.
