A Cortland County man is being handed a fist-full of tickets and several misdemeanor charges after leading authorities on a vehicle and foot chase.

Sheriff’s officials say they tried to stop 32-year-old Cody Marshall of McGraw at around 2 p.m. Sunday, October 10 on Route 11 in Cortlandville for an equipment violation but Marshall took off, first in his vehicle then on foot.

Deputies claim Marshall violated several vehicle and traffic laws while fleeing authorities before he eventually got out of his vehicle and tried to get away on foot.

Officers say they found Marshall was in possession of narcotics when he was taken into custody.
