The New York Giants led going into the final stretch, but fell short in a 27-26 loss to the Patriots.

If you found this game exceptionally painful you're not alone, it was a game they should have won.

I thought Eli and the offense played a very good game, and the pass rush defense was much better than the first half of the season, but when you're playing a championship team like New England you have to be perfect.

The Giants ran more plays, they had more total yards, both passing and rushing, they were more efficient on third downs and won the turnover ratio.

Plain and simple they lost because they didn't finish the game, and why they didn't run the ball on their final drive with first and goal, to eat up some of the clock, leaves many Giants fans asking that same question.

This would have been a perfect chance to gain on Philadelphia and the Redskins (both 4-5) , who can tie up the division with wins next week.

I've said it many times the Giants don't win easy and this will probably come down to the final match up against the Eagles in week 17.

The Giants have a BYE week, and will follow that with an important NFC East match up against the Washington Redskins on November 29th in our nations capital, catch all the action beginning with the pre-game show at 12 noon on your station for New York Giants football, 991 the Whale.
