A teenager, picked up in the State of Washington, is the fourth suspect arrested in the March 4th armed robbery of a Cortland County smoke shop.

Sheriff’s officials say with the help of the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Sky Volkhausen of Ithaca was arrested for the robbery of Top Ten Smok Shop in Cortlandville. He was returned to Cortland County March 5.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials were called to the smoke shop on Route 222 with a report of a holdup up at 12:56 a.m. on Friday, March 4.

Authorities were told at least two males entered the store and displayed a weapon before leaving in a Toyota Camry with an undisclosed amount of cash.

18-year-old Gage Smith and 21-year-old Abigail Marical, both of Cortland were arrested and charged with felony counts of Burglary, Grand Larceny and Conspiracy while an unnamed 17-year-old was also arrested.

Volkhausen was arrested in Washington State on March 23 before being returned to Cortland County.

He’s charged with felony counts of Robbery, Burglary, Grand Larceny and Conspiracy.

Cortland County Sheriff's officials say Volkhausen was sent to the Cortland County Jail on $10,000 bail and scheduled to appear in Cortlandville Town Court April 13.
