Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say they got complaints about bogus bucks March 26 at the Sunoco Gas Station on Route 11 and the McGraw Travel Plaza/Pit Stop, also on Route 11.

32-year-old Jarod O’Neill is charged with 12 felony counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, two felony counts of falsifying business records, two misdemeanor counts of petit larceny and a misdemeanor parole violation.

Deputies say they found O’Neill in possession of several more counterfeit $100 bills and a small amount of narcotics.

He’s to appear in Town of Cortlandville and City of Cortland Courts next month.
