Cortland County Man Charged With Burglary

A Cortland man is charged with felony burglary and petit larceny for allegedly breaking into a business on Route 13 in the Town of Cortlandville back on November 8, 2022.

Investigators say they were able to identify the suspect who entered the closed business and stole items as 32-year-old Stephen Elwood of Cortland.

A warrant for Elwood’s arrest was issued and Sheriff’s officials say he was arrested on Saturday, May 21.

Elwood was released on his own recognizance and ordered to appear in Cortlandville Town Court next month.
