Every year my wife and I try and make it up to the State Fair in Syracuse. Yesterday we decided to go up with friends of ours. We picked the right day to go because there weren't that many people there. There are no long lines for anything, and it was about ten degrees warmer up there than it was in Binghamton when we left.

We enjoyed ourselves with a couple of drinks then set off to get food . I had to get my roasted corn. Corn on the cob fresh off a roaster dipped in a gallon of butter, there's nothing better in the world. After that, we went and got more drinks. Then we went and wesaw some animals and checked out a couple of the vendors and then went and had more drinks. We walked through the Midway and checked out all the rides and there weren't many people in line for the rides either. Then we went and got a couple more drinks and headed over to the Chevy Court stage where the Marshall Tucker Band was playing. We saw two songs and then the encore. We left there went and got more food and a couple more drinks. The Bang Band Cauliflower was awesome and I had a pretty good Sausage Sandwich too.  Then we hopped on the bus and made our way back to our carr and made the trip back home.

The New York State Fair runs through Labor Day and there are still a bunch of cool Classic Rock shows coming up on the Chevy Court Stage which is the free stage. They include; Skid Row ,(2 P.M. Thursday), Blue Oyster Cult, (8 P.M. Friday) and the Spin Doctors, (2 P.M. Sunday).

Check out some of the pictures from our trip.
