A Binghamton woman who initially was charged with murder now faces a manslaughter count in connection with the death of a city man.

31-year-old Shalace Williams has been indicted on two felony counts by a Broome County grand jury.

Binghamton police had arrested Williams after 55-year-old James Sellers was found dead on a sidewalk in front of 111 Eldredge Street on February 6.

Investigators said Sellers was stabbed during an altercation that erupted from a domestic dispute.

Williams has been indicted on charges of first-degree manslaughter and tampering with physical evidence.

According to district attorney Michael Korchak, the indictment alleges Williams "worked to conceal or destroy a knife" used to stab Sellers.
