This is the kind of stuff that our Law Enforcement Officers need to deal with more often than they should. What did this officer do to this young man? It seems that this drunk guy has seen one too many videos of these "Cop Blockers" that challenge police at every turn. I'm not saying that law enforcement is above the law, by any means. I'm simply saying that they are regular guys too, and they deserve to be treated with respect just as you would any other stranger that you happen to meet. Perhaps it's ignorance, maybe idealistic, but I always assume the best in people when first encountering them and treat them with respect until they prove intentions otherwise. Not everyone is malicious. In fact, the vast majority are not. I believe that people are genuinely good, until they are jaded or end up with a chip on their shoulder because of things that have happened to them in their past. Let it go, dude. Chill out.

As if needed to say it... the man in this video is very drunk, and his language is not what you might consider "safe for work". You have been warned.

According to BroBible:

Body camera footage released by the Spokane Police Department Wednesday shows how Sgt. Eric Kannberg was dealing with one drunken individual when another person approached him and intervened. During the incident, went on for nearly four minutes, Kannberg asked the individual to step away from him multiple times and, at one point, the man hit the officer’s hand. Eventually, after running down the street, Kannberg caught up with him and took him into custody. "

What do you think of this video below? Should this officer have been fired?
