Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) has placed a tree in the courtyard, lit in white lights for a 26th year in memory of 16 year old Katie Titus, who died more than two-decades ago in a non-alcohol-related crash.  The group will replace a white light with a red bulb any time someone dies in a crash as a result of drunk or distracted driving.

There has never been a red light on the tree in the history of the tradition.

The tree will remain on the school lawn through New Year’s Day as a reminder to residents of the sometimes tragic consequences of making poor decisions.
