The Black Bears are the newest professional hockey team in Binghamton and they are bringing excitement to the arena and helping the community too. On Saturday, February 19th, they honored our military in front of a sell-out crowd. The Black Bears skated by Delaware and the night ended with a goalie fight.

On Friday, February 25th, it was American Special Hockey Association (ASHA) Night at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena. The Black Bears wore special ASHA warm-up jerseys. The jerseys are being auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds going to the ASHA.

Earlier in the week, the Black Bears practiced with a local ASHA team, the Ice House Hawks. 8-year-old Cullen stole the show with some "trash talking" with the Black Bears players. This video will bring a smile to your face...it did mine.

Sock Out Cancer Night With The Binghamton Black Bears

This Saturday, March 5th, the Binghamton Black Bears are doing it again with "Sock Out Cancer" night. These are actual cool and unique socks that help cancer patients in need.

The Black Bears will be wearing custom game night socks that will benefit Sock Out Cancer. There will be several ways that you can raise money for SOC on the concourse. On Saturday, they will put their four-game home winning streak on the line against their arch-rival Watertown Wolves.

Face-off is at 7:05. Support local and to paraphrase the Black Bears, "it's your city, your community, your hockey team. LET'S GO BLACK BEARS!
