One of the signs that spring is on the way, is the Annual St Patrick's Day Parade this Saturday, March 7th at 1:30pm. The streets of Binghamton will be lined with thousands dressed in green to celebrate one of the biggest parade events of the year!

The celebrations start much earlier than that as several of the areas taverns, pubs, bars, and restaurants will be serving breakfast, music, and some early libations.

There will be a mass at Saint Mary’s at 11:30am, and I’m sure spectators will be widely spread about the parade route by then, as the many floats, bands, organizations, and community members arrive and get into position for the start of the annual parade.

Early March is traditionally cold and blustery, so plan ahead to dress warm. And since there are no chairs or benches, be prepared to bring your own, or plan on standing for the event.

99.1 The Whale invites you to come out and join in the celebration of the 48th Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade! Be sure to wave as we go by!
