The National Weather Service is advising of possible flash flooding in poor drainage areas with heavy rain forecast ahead of a slow-moving cold front.

The Twin Tiers could be in for a soaking starting September 23 and the National Weather Service cautions that could mean some flooding issues.

Parts of the Catskills, including Wayne County in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania could be in for more flooding.

Emergency Services officials in the region say assessments continue but only a few trees were reported down from wave after wave of strong thunderstorms.
