The National Weather Service says there could be additional rounds of heavy rainfall associated with what’s left of Tropical Storm Fred as it passes through Wednesday, August 18 and Thursday, August 19.

Locations that experience multiple rounds of heavy rain may see urban and small stream flooding. There is also a threat of severe thunderstorms Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Residents who live near areas that frequently flood should be aware of the incoming weather and be prepared to take appropriate action.

Motorists should also be aware of changing conditions that could include the pooling of water on the road and the danger of hydroplaning.  Never drive around barriers that are set up on flooded roadways.
