SUNY Broome Students Sleep Out for Homelessness Awareness
Some SUNY Broome students, faculty and supporters take to sleeping under the stars to bring awareness to homelessness in the region.
The 13th Homelessness Awareness Sleepout was rescheduled for starting at 6 p.m. May 11 after a week delay due to the weather.
The event is held on the campus Quad.
Unlike the conditions faces by the real homeless population of the region, the students, faculty and staff will have nice weather and short duration for their living in the elements.

The effort is also raising money to support local homeless programs. Checks should be made out to F-SA/ Homeless Sleepout and sent to SUNY Broome Community College Student Activities Department, Attention Rae Palmer-Jones, P-O Box 1017, Binghamton, New York 13901.
