New Outdoor Fitness Court Set To Open At SUNY Broome
A new outdoor fitness court is about to officially open on the campus of SUNY Broome on Friday September 29th, 2023 at 2 p.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The new MVP Health Care Fitness Court was developed by SUNY Broome, the faculty-Student Association, the National Fitness Campaign and MVP Health Care. the fitness court will provide the community with increased access to outdoor exercise programs.
The fitness court offers free access for high quality workouts and equitable access to exercise for communities in and around Broome County. The outdoor gym will consist of seven exercise stations.
As the community’s college, SUNY Broome is always looking for new ways to open our campus to our neighbors. Outdoor workouts are enjoyable and healthy for both body and mind. The SUNY Broome announcement states that the fitness court is for people 14 years of age and over. With all abilities in mind, the workouts are adaptable for all fitness levels, allowing participants to move at their own pace.
