Have you noticed it too, or am I just being wishful? The signs of spring are slowly showing up around us. Yea, winter will probably keep a hold on us just a bit longer, but it can't stop spring from arriving. And for that, I'm happy.

Here are some signs that spring 2022 is ready to blossom.

It can only get better, right? Sure, we've been hit with some March winter storms, but the snow usually doesn't stick around long. And with each passing day, we get to enjoy more daylight.

Have you noticed temperatures are slowly beginning to hit into the 40s and sometimes the 50s as well? Hopefully, below-freezing temperatures will be gone, along with the snow, and more importantly, the ice piled up in my driveway.

That's always a sign of spring. The parade kicks off at Fayette and Court Streets this Saturday, March 5th, at 1:30 p.m. It's been two years since we've enjoyed the largest, most fun parade in the Southern Tier. We'll be in the parade, and we hope to see you and your family. A great way to welcome in spring!

Yep. I was looking for bags of rock salt over the weekend in one of our local stores, and there were none. Also, winter clothing is gone, replaced by spring and simmer clothing instead.

Yes, we will be turning our clocks forward one hour so you will get to enjoy more daylight hours. The date? Sunday, March 13th - 2 a.m. Of course, you will lose an hour of sleep or whatever you do on the overnight for that one morning,

Sunday, March 20th, although the meteorological calendar has spring beginning on March 1st. So, there you go. Winter will soon be in the rear-view mirror, and I for one, say good riddance, that is until next December.
