Saturday Unveiling Of The Completed Mural Mosaic At The Ross Park Zoo
Mural Mosaic’s Global Roots Project in December announced its collaboration with the Ross Park Zoo in Binghamton as the America Together National Mural Mosaic, as part of the Zoo's Sesquicentennial Celebration. The Ross Park Zoo was selected as the U.S. location for the mural.
Twin Tiers residents (and even some of the zoo animals) stepped up to create their paintings on the tiles to make up the final mural. Now that the mural is complete, it is set to be unveiled to the public.
On Saturday, February 22nd at 1:30 p.m. at Binghamton’s Ross Park off Morgan Road, Binghamton, Zoo Executive Director, Phillip Ginter will be joined by representatives of the America Together National Mural Mosaic and some of the participating ‘artists’ who purchased tiles to paint and include in the impressive final art installation.
The unveiling will be held at the Ross Park Zoo pavilions, just inside the Morgan Road entrance to the property. The public is invited to attend.
