Rangers Blanked in Game Three
The New York Rangers played nearly perfect hockey, but let one slip into the net in a 1-0 loss to the Capitals, last night in Washington.
Henrik Lundqvist blocked 21 of 22 shots, but the Blueshirts couldn't get one past Braden Holtby. Now the Caps lead the best of seven series, 2-1.
I would say that there is a little bit of pressure on the Rangers right now to win game four and take the series back to the Garden evened up.
The Capitals two victories came with a bit of luck. One was a last second shot in game one, and the other an extremely fortunate bounce in game three, but their defense has been stellar, and you can't take anything away from them.
I said at the beginning of this series that it could go to a game seven, and I believe that's a good possibility.
I don't think the Rangers have lost any confidence. They are still the better team, so they will be ready for game 4 tomorrow night in Washington.
