Hello, October. My life is about to get busy. First, it's a reminder that I have 30 days left before it's time to vacate my camper and the campground where it resides 365 days a year. Ok, 366 days if it's a leap year.

I become depressed a bit when October arrives, not only because the camping season is at an end for the year, but because once we get past the craziness of the holiday season, it's going to be four months of limited light, cold, snow, ice and cabin fever. I have survived it for several decades so far, and I guess this one will be no different.

October through December are traditionally very busy for me, and once those months are past us, it's like a hitting a wall. January through April are not my favorite time of the year,

Until then, I have lots of things going on. Here are a few. October will feature two of our live events - Parlor City Oktoberfest and the Binghamton Halloween Parade. I have some school dances to DJ, a couple of birthday parties to attend, enjoying the couple of weekends I have left at camp before winterizing my camper and ending the month with a Halloween school dance.

Once November arrives, whether you like it or not, the Holiday season will hit us hard. You will not be able to escape it. Actually, holiday decorations, Christmas trees and such are already set up in stores.

November will bring back our annual Food-A-Bago to benefit Broome County CHOW. That will take place again in the Weis Market parking lot on Upper Front Street, Binghamton November 5th through the 12th. We look forward to seeing you and hopefully an item or to to donate.

December is no doubt the busiest month of the year. And it can be the most stressful month of the year. Are you ready? Because, here we go. The next three months are gonna be super busy. Maybe January isn't looking so bad after all.
