The statewide #VaxtoSchool campaign includes a dedicated website at ny.gov/vaxtoschool with resources for parents of school aged children and school communities. Governor Kathy Hochul says the new site includes information for families as well as ready-made signage for school leaders as students and staff get back to in-person learning with guidelines from the state regarding wearing masks while inside school buildings and on buses, social distancing, vaccinations, testing and cleaning protocols.

There’s also a new Instagram channel (@VaccinateNY) for school-age children and their families to learn directly about the COVID-19 vaccine, which is currently available for anyone over the age of 12.

The Governor’s office says the #VaxtoSchool social media page provides approachable, interactive content, video explainers and possible partnerships.  The Department of Health will also be updating digital education efforts across all their channels, including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
