Christmas Tree’s date back to 16th century Germany, and has become the most popular symbol of the Christmas Season.

According to the National Christmas Tree Association, there are between 25 and 30 million real Christmas trees purchased in the Unites States each year.

Christmas trees are grown in all 50 states (80% of artificial trees come from China)

Many Americans purchase and decorate their Christmas trees following the Thanksgiving holiday, while others choose to wait a little longer, to assure their tree stays fresh throughout the Christmas holiday.

The top Christmas tree producing states are Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Oregon, Washington and North Carolina.

More than 160 countries around the world celebrate Christmas, and many put up Christmas trees with lights and decorations.

COVID has altered many of our traditions for the Christmas season, here in the United States and around the world. See other countries traditions HERE.

There are many songs about Christmas trees, starting with the yule tide favorite Oh Christmas tree, which dates back to the 19th century, originally titled Oh Tannenbaum.

Brenda Lee gave us one of the most popular Christmas tree Songs in 1958, it remains a holiday favorite today and has been recorded by many other artists throughout the years. (Brenda’s version is still the best)
