Health Officials Confirm More Vape-Related Deaths in New York
New York is reporting two more deaths in the state related to the use of vaping products.
The Department of Health confirms it has been determined a woman in her twenties from New York City and a woman in her fifties from Ontario County have died from vaping-associated illness, bring the total number of vaping deaths in the state to four.
In a statement on the report, Governor Andrew Cuomo said the deaths are tragic but preventable. The Democrat says the state is using every tool available to stop the illnesses and deaths.
The battle, meanwhile is continuing between factions in state government to ban flavored e-cigarettes and vaping products as well as possibly flavored traditional tobacco while the vaping industry has successfully challenged the enforcement of an executive order by the Governor to halt the sale of flavored vapes in New York.
