First Responder Spotlight – Chris Zacharias of Deposit

Military, police officers, firefighters, paramedics are the unsung members of our community who put their own lives on the line to protect and serve us and we're on a mission to make sure that we properly thank them for their selflessness by sharing their stories with you.

Today, we're excited to introduce you to Chris Zacharias of the Village of Deposit Fire Department. Lucy Lantz nominated Chris to become a member of our First Responders Wall of Fame writing the following to us:

You couldn't find a more dedicated guy than Chris. Always ready to respond to an emergency situation, but he goes above and beyond. He not only answers the call he follows up to make sure things go the way they should. When my husband had a slight accident and was rushed to the hospital Chris was there and the following day when my husband was released (I don't drive) Chris when to the hospital and picked him up. Chris also was instrumental in obtaining a piece of the Twin Towers for a permanent display in our Village Park.

Our community is a better place because you, Chris, are in it and we salute you and genuinely thank you for being the incredible human that you are!
