Broome County Executive Jason Garnar, under guidance from New York State, has signed an emergency order closing all public playgrounds, athletic courts and sporting fields.

People can still get out and take walks or runs but concerns over the spread of the coronavirus through sporting and other equipment and social distancing of six feet is limiting what people can do.
